4th Beaconsfield Scout Group
Open Evening for Adult Volunteers
Thursday 15 October 2015

Take the 4-week Challenge with 4th Beaconsfield Scouts

Scouting has a long history within the UK, offering fun, challenges and everyday adventure to young people and adults for over 100 years. Here in Beaconsfield we have a thriving and growing group with over 120 young people taking part each week, but we also have over 100 children on our waiting list, and we would love to be able to offer more of them the opportunity to experience all that scouting has to offer.

But Scouting is not just for the kids! Scouting goes far beyond the mix of active & creative, indoor & outdoor activities young people enjoy, the values it teaches or the positive impact on our local community, it also provides fun, friendship and adventure for its adult volunteers. With full support and training, you’ll soon be learning new skills for life, taking part in amazing activities and helping young people have the adventure of a lifetime.

With all this is mind the 4th Beaconsfield Scouts will be holding an Open Evening on Thursday 15th October from 7.30pm at the Scout Hut between Ronald Road and Waller Road.

During this evening our young people will be presenting pieces about their time in Scouting and telling our audience about the wonderful Leaders we have with the hope of recruiting some more adults into the Group.

There will be information available on all the different types of roles & training available for volunteers, and our new 4-Week Challenge, as well as an opportunity to chat to some of our current Leaders and sample some food prepared by the children.
